As a social skills coach, my role is to help clients understand how communication, self-awareness, and emotional regulation shape their relationships and day-to-day interactions while keeping coaching supportive, practical, and grounded in real-life social situations.

What is Social Skills Coaching?
Social Skills Coaching is personalized, one-on-one support that helps teens, college students, and young adults build the confidence and tools they need to connect with others. It’s not about memorizing scripts or “faking it”-it’s about learning how to communicate authentically, understand social dynamics, and respond to real-life situations with flexibility and self-awareness. Coaching provides a safe space to practice skills, reflect on challenges, and develop strategies that actually work in everyday life.
Who benefits from Social Skills Coaching?
Social Skills Coaching is for teens, college students, and young adults who want to build stronger relationships, communicate more effectively, and navigate social situations with confidence. Whether you’re a parent seeking support for your child or a young adult looking to improve your own social skills, personalized coaching can help.
Many of my clients face challenges such as:
✓Difficulty starting or maintaining conversations
✓Trouble understanding social cues, body language, or tone of voice
✓Anxiety or discomfort in social situations
✓Struggles with making and keeping friends
✓Rigid thinking that makes it hard to see different perspectives
✓Difficulty handling disagreements or resolving conflicts
✓Feeling excluded or unsure how to join group activities
✓Trouble balancing independence with social connection
My coaching goes beyond basic social rules- I teach how to build meaningful connections, adapt to different social settings, and develop the confidence to interact comfortably. Whether it’s making small talk, advocating for oneself, or navigating group dynamics, we provide personalized strategies to help students and young adults succeed in friendships, academics, and future careers.
How Social Skills Coaching Works
Social skills coaching begins with a clear understanding of a client’s current social world – how often they interact with others at school, work, and in their community – and what their ideal social life would look like. From there, I help clients identify the often unseen skills gaps that get in the way of those connections. Some clients may not know why certain interactions feel awkward or draining, so part of the process involves noticing patterns together, spotting missed cues, and reflecting on real moments from their week.
Sessions may include observing real-life social patterns, learning specific communication skills, practicing through conversation, or analyzing short videos to identify what makes interactions feel comfortable and uncomfortable. We may also explore the differences between in-person conversations and digital communication, building awareness of tone, pacing, and nonverbal cues across both. Over time, clients begin to understand themselves socially, feel more in control of how they show up around others, and build connections that feel more aligned with who they are.
